QAAI Investigation Reports

In accordance with the provisions of Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) and Amiri Decision No. (67) of 2018, safety investigations are not conducted for the purpose of apportioning blame or determining liability.

Safety investigations are independent of, separate from, and without prejudice to any judicial or administrative proceedings. The sole objective of QAAI investigations and Final Reports is the prevention of accidents and incidents.

Accordingly, QAAI reports must not be used to assign fault, determine liability, or apportion blame, as neither the investigation nor the reporting process is undertaken for that purpose.

Extracts from QAAI reports may be reproduced provided that:

  • The source is clearly acknowledged;

  • The material is accurately reproduced;

  • The material is not used in a misleading or derogatory context.

Current Investigations

  • National Investigations conducted by QAAI;

  •  International Investigations conducted by a foreign Safety Investigation Authority (SIA) involving a Qatari-registered and/or operated aircraft abroad.
